Which rising stars under 30 do you know? Lift them up higher by nominating them for Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, which for its first ever Belgian edition will be revealed during a spectacular award show on 22nd November in Brussels. And yes – as a proud partner of this iconic media authority, MeetDistrict will be there as well to cheer on the youngest of our Members taking a shot at eternal fame.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 list was launched in 2011 by Forbes magazine to recognise 30 notable individuals under 30 years old across various industries. Initially, it featured 600 honourees in the U.S. across 20 categories, and has since expanded to include regional lists for Asia, Europe, and Africa. The list is curated by Forbes editors, independent judges, and industry experts, and has grown into a global community with associated conferences and a dedicated online channel. And for the first time ever, Forbes is launching an exclusively Belgian list as well.
From 19th August until 15th September, you were able to nominate yourself or someone from your network as one of Belgium’s most influential personalities in one of the below categories.
During the following stage, all submissions were assessed by an independent panel of eminent figures from various sectors, including leading investors and successful entrepreneurs. Entries were judged based on strict criteria such as funding, revenue, social impact and inventiveness. By the end of September, the first Belgian 30 Under 30 Class was invited for an informal gathering at Brussels, followed by an afterwork in October, and at last the summit in November.
