Your sports summer fueled by MySueño

The summer of 2024 was packed with sports, and our Members of MySueño Sports and Health marketing played a key role in many events. As a marketing agency specialising in sports and healthcare, they help athletes and commercial brands shine globally. We sat down with Digital Sports Marketeer Levi Haegebaert who shared how MySueño builds strong campaigns and brand identities for clients.

Empowering brands and athletes

MySueño works with commercial companies to elevate their market presence through strategic campaigns. From football clubs to health organisations, they create tailored marketing strategies that resonate with their audience.

Levi: “We manage everything - from strategy, digital campaigns, and website creation to social media and communication for commercial clients, sports federations, top athletes, and even large pharmaceutical companies”.

Olympic sports, growing opportunities

With the rising popularity of certain sports, MySueño is seizing the opportunity to connect brands with emerging talents. Levi: "We’re excited to see sports like climbing, which we support through our work with de Klim- en Bergsportfederatie, gain Olympic recognition. The same goes for surfing, where our partnership with Flowtrack has been key, and urban sports like skateboarding and 3x3 basketball; areas we actively engage with through our collaborations in urban sports”.

MySueño’s long-term partnership with De Vlaamse Roeiliga for Beach Sprint Rowing, set to debut in the 2028 Olympics, further underscores their commitment to emerging sports. Levi: "The success of Tim Brys, who finished fourth in the rowing final, highlights the growing prominence of rowing in Belgium. We’re thrilled to see this sport gaining recognition and are proud to be part of its evolution”.

Athletes as brand ambassadors

Top athletes often become the faces of sports brands, acting as influencers. Levi: “Through our ongoing campaigns and projects, we’ve realised the impact of personal branding. Athletes are the perfect ambassadors for sports brands, so we’ve integrated personal branding into our services”.

Success stories: from field to the screen

MySueño has successfully helped athletes transition into emerging media figures:

  • Laurens De Vos: The youngest Paralympic gold medallist in table tennis is preparing for the next Olympics. MySueño has been crucial in building his brand and securing sponsors.
  • Ann Wouters: The legendary Belgian Cats basketball player who competed in the Olympics, finishing fourth. MySueño’s efforts have boosted her media presence and public profile.
  • Bert De Backer: A former cyclist now thriving in the media as a sports commentator and TV host. Levi: “Bert was the first athlete we helped transition to a media career, and his success reflects our commitment to personal branding”.

From the Olympics to football: gearing up for a new season

While the Olympics have captured our attention, we must not forget that the football season has already kicked off as well. MySueño has been active in this field of sports too; more specifically as the trusted marketing partner of Cercle Brugge, where they manage everything from podcast production to social media to full-scale campaigns. Levi: “Cercle Brugge’s impressive fourth-place finish last season makes us even prouder of the fantastic campaign we’ve created for their 2024-2025 season. Not only do they achieve great results on the field, but their marketing efforts also shine with our support”.

By all means – we should cherish our sports and healthcare industries. And as MySueño is proud to support the people and organisations that keep us active and healthy, we’re more than proud for them to be a part of the MeetDistrict Community.
