Hip hip hooray! Congratulations are in order for our Members of Verpoucke, who blew out 20 candles at the beginning of summer. We sat down with Recruitment Marketing & Automation Partner Tine Wambacq to reminisce on how they celebrated their 20th anniversary and looked back on the beautiful track record they left behind in the HR and recruitment industry.
Verpoucke is a recruiting partner for technical profiles and technical sales profiles, and is specialised in project sourcing of HR profiles; viewing recruitment as a holistic process including strategic thinking, aligning with business needs, and ensuring every new hire is the perfect fit. Founded by Sofie Verpoucke on 17th June 2004, Verpoucke was built on the principle of proactivity in recruitment; steering away from the reactive methods prevalent at the time. Tine: “Over the years, we've embraced every HR trend and learned to use AI and the newest tools while steadfastly maintaining our proactive approach. Our expertise extends beyond filling vacancies: we focus on comprehensive support, from onboarding to continuous development, assessments and HR management”.
From the get-go, their proactivity-first approach was sure to be a hit; resulting in lots of repeat business and a steady growth. Tine: “From just two Members in the FlexSpace five years ago, we've expanded to 11 Memberships and a PrivateOffice on the third floor of MeetDistrict Gent. Not to forget about our colleagues in Edingen; which makes for a team of over 20 dedicated professionals in total”.
Verpoucke’s 20th anniversary celebration was a testament to their commitment to strong relationships and memorable experiences. Next to organising an afterwork for their own team with lots of birthday presents like cups, t-shirts and caps, the company decided to honour their most valued clients and partners who have been pivotal in their journey as well.
Tine: “As repeat business really is a thing at Verpoucke, we treated our loyal clients – some of whom have been with us since the beginning – to a dinner at Horzeele and to a boxing gala. We really went out of the box for this [laughs]. A celebration close to who we are as a company, because we don’t simply focus on recruiting, we dedicate ourselves to enhancing work happiness and transforming lives. After all, we believe that finding the right job can change a person's life for the better”.
During the slower summer season, Verpoucke encourages their clients to rethink their strategies and to plan for the future. Tine: “This is the perfect time to open-mindedly play around with different HR scenarios, and we’re right there to guide our clients towards what works best for them”.
Looking at their own future, Verpoucke aims to expand their team of recruiters and HR professionals. Tine: “We want to make a difference for our clients and really help them with their recruitment strategy.
